Hi guys, i've been trying to play wii games on my vwii for the past month and nothing worked. Every game and loader settings in USBLGX makes a black screen appear, except for game 58 and loader 251 that boots me on the wii menu.

I'm using a 1 TB HDD formated to FAT32 (all the games appear on the loader and are in a wbfs folder, so i don't think this is the problem)

The only thing is that I have two IOS with \[57\] (IOS250 and IOS252), so it might be the problem but i'm not sure if it really matters.

If any of you can help me it would be very appreaciated and if you want more details on something, i will provide them.

Thank you.:)

The relevant cIOSes are correct:

vIOS249[56] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta52-vWii): Acces NAND, USB 2.0
vIOS250[57] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta52-vWii): Acces NAND, USB 2.0

It sounds more an HDD than an cIOS Loading Issue.

Which HDD Brand do you have please ?
Where and how is your HDD connected please ?

Thank you.:)

I think you are right,

I don't know the brand because when my father give it to me it wasn't even in a case, so i think it might be because it's a cheap HDD (also, he bought it on a website like AliExpress)

I use a wall powered usb hub to connect the HDD to my Wii U. It works perfectly with my WiiU games HDD, so the problem must come from the Wii Games HDD (the weird one). Last thing, i never plug them simultaneously because i know it won't work

Thank you alot for your suggestions, i'll try with another HDD and i'll come back if it's not working :)

EDIT: The Wii U HDD is a Western Digital

Hi guys, i've tried with another HDD (a Western Digital) and it still doesn't work. Do you know if i need to put a specific game and loader IOS? Also, when i try to put 56 or 57 as the loader IOS it says that it can't find them (or game IOS im not sure).

Thank you a lot for your help :)

when i try to put 56 or 57 as the loader IOS it
put 249 or 250.

not 56 or 57, it won't work

Recommend ==> do you use ""wii backup manager"" to manage your games on the external hard drive??

the simple do, copy, paste the games on the external hard drive, may not work

test your games with wiiflow lite or Configurable loader v70:lol:

I'm already using wii backup manager. I tried wii flow lite v5.5.2, but it won't detect my hdd, only the sd card (but USBLoaderGX detected the hdd). I've also tried USBLGX with both IOS at 249 and then both at 250, nothing worked.

I'm going to give a try to CFG and i'll update you.
Thanks a lot :)

Don't use a hub. Plug the wiiu hdd into the front ports; the vwii into port 0, since you're using beta 52. Two cios with the same base shouldn't hurt it.

So i've plugged the vwii hdd in the port 0 with a "y cable", the thicker part in the port 0 and the other in the port 1. I'm just wandering which IOS i should put for the Loader one and the Game one. I Know you said 249 or 250, but i don't know if it's only for one for both of them (loader and game IOS). I'm wandering, because both at 249 won't boot and do the black screen.

Sorry for being so noob with this,
Thank you :)
