So, I'm planning on building a gaming PC. Been saving up for a while now, and I'm willing to spend around 1k-2k. No more than that.
I plan on using it to work for my school projects like editing videos, rendering, etc.
Games I want to play are Skyrim with mods on ultra, GTA V, and games like Arc.
Pretty much want it for a universal usage.
I don't really know much about computer, so I'll probably take the parts to an electronic store and ask them to build it for me, or learn myself.
I also don't know which part is good, which is bad, soooo that's what this thread is for. Can you guys help me build it by pointing me in the right direction on which part to buy?

-EDIT-

Forgot to mention, I have never owned a PC, so I'd need a monitor too

You'll be loaded.
There ofcourse upgrades such as opting for the X99 platform and a GTX 1080 and going to 2K or 4K screen while still falling short of the 2K budget mark. Eg. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qXpBzM

It's a great time to be a buget PC builder and a bad time for enthusiasts, CPU wise. The Kabylake aren't that much faster than the Skylake and the X99 is gonna be replaced next summer/fall.
AMD Zen's gonna be the only new entry worth looking at.

I would wait to see that before buying a skylake cpu now. Unfortunately i build myself with a skylake 5 months ago, maybe im gonna regret in the next hours.

That looks like it'd be a beast PC. Then I guess it's decided. I'm building this one
Thank you.

WAIT FOR A MONTH PLEASE.
AMD Ryzen is amazing. Wait for it. I promise it'll be worth it. The 3.4Ghz ES beats the Intel i7 6900K handily. I'm convinced.

Yeah, I built my rig just a week ago, i3 Skylake.. Now wishing I would've waited for Zen but I'm not complaining. A future upgrade to the 7700K in 3-4 years should suffice.
