Hacking [HELP NEEDED] Can't use Save States? Fast Forwarding?

Merry Christmas brothers and sisters.

Ok, so I have the r4isdhc Gold Pro 2017. I got 2 of them from nds-card and both seem to work fine other than some lag issues that come with extended local multiplayer.

My question is how do I get save states and/or fast forwarding working with my games? I know some "Wood" has save states working, but googling Wood and this cart hasn't shown me much. Can I get Wood on this cart? I'd also rather have fast forwarding rather than save states, if I have to choose. I am using YSMenu at the moment.

EDIT : I just downloaded the official kernel from the r4isdhc site. The FAQ isn't telling me much. How do I use the save states and time functions on this firmware?

i'm not shitting on you or anything like that, but this is more of an nds issue, not a 3ds issue
