The last time I've bought a new desktop computer was back in 2004. Back then, I actually knew what graphics card to buy, which CPU has the best price/performance ratio, which kind of RAM worked the best ... and got a pretty good gaming rig for a small amount of money, it was practically a steal (and I realised that pre-built PC most stores sell were rip-offs). However, then I was sucked in the world of consoles and became a complete console 'tard. I'm out of touch with which hardware is good and which isn't. So, I'm asking YOU, the good people of GBAtemp, to help me build a new PC. [IMG]

I'm looking at a price range from 350 € - 400 € (that's around $440 - $500). Yeah, I'm a cheapskate, but I still want a decent gaming computer (that will run Crysis, GTA IV, Far Cry 2, Spore and The Sims 3 normally). I'd appreciate it if any you remained objective. (no amd, intel, nvidia fanboys!) [IMG]

$512. Will run Crysis well on high, especially if you overclock. And it will visually outperform all multiplatform titles on PS360, so you'll have loads of games to play until the next gen [IMG]

If you need help putting it together, here's a nice guide:

You can probably get parts cheaper if you keep your eye on

    Good luck!
