Gaming Help Me! (Acnl update)

I have a hacked town (my map in the save editor is pictured below). The town works fine in the old acnl but when I update this message comes up "an error has occurred. Please turn off your system using power button and reinsert the game card." It also shows a town that is not mine when loading. When I delete the update the game works fine... I really need help with this so please let me know of a way to fix this asap (also please use simplistic language, I'm not a crazy tech-savy person lol)

what CFW are you using?

If you're using an outdated CFW that may cause something like that, but afaik the issue for old CFW users is getting stuck on the 3DS loading screen.

So it might be a save file issue, in which case, sorry mate, you're pretty much plum out of luck. You wanna update? Start a new town.

Like I said I dont understand a lot of "tech talk" but im on 11.2.0.-35U with Homebrew through freakyhax running with the acnl save editor... Is that what you meant? Again sorry but I'm quite new to the whole editing ordeal

and i meant custom firmwares such as Luma or rxtools
sounds like youre just using homebrew.

in that case youre probably out of luck...
the ACNL editor isnt fully updated for the "welcome amiibo" update

could try reloading into that the exporting and injecting but itd probably cause you more trouble lol

Sigh... I suppose. I really love my town and am sad to see that it cannot update... I just dont get why. My sisters town is hacked and that updated fine... Does it have anything to do with bushes/trees against the cliff due to the new campgrounds?

Is there anyway to make a garden.dat into a garden_plus.dat? I dont think so but I thought Id ask...
