Homebrew Help in Softmoding a Wii 4.3e

Hi guys,very new to this site,and really really need help from anyone who is good.
I just got a nintendo wii from my cousin in England and i have gone through so many forums and downloaded most apps or software's I have been asked to download just to softmod the Wii,but I never get to use them to work on the console.
I was thinking maybe it's because I am using a Windows 10 to run these software's,but then again,i maybe wrong.
I want a steady procedure on what to start with the moving ,as well as where I can get the original working software's,from booting,homebrew ,and so on.

The main problem I am having is that no matter how i extract the letterbomb,i am not seeing it on the Wii message box.
Does this have anything to do with the type of Windows one is using ?

Wow! Just saw that video and am amazed. Would try that method later,so I don't need to go for letterbomb,and looking for an sd card ?

To play backups from HDD you'll need some extra setup once you've installed homebrew, instructions here https://wii.guide/cios

Am a noob when it comes to hacking, so i have gone through the video above, but i don't know how to get the internet channel you showed. But once i connected the Wii to my WiFi it brought a system update message.
Should i update ? Need advice so that I don't brick the Wii ,.
Also when doing the update or any other thing should a game CD be inside the Wii ?

As long as you don't have any mods installed yet, yes you should update to 4.3 (latest) Letterbomb and flashhax will only work on this version, so this is probably why Letterbomb didn't work for you before. Having a disc inserted shouldn't affect anything.
