Blue screen (bootrom error) = permanently bricked. Good job on following an oudated guide.

If it's not a bootrom error then idk but from the description it sounds like that.

1. that guide is super outdated
2. If your 3DS shows this blue screen:
err8046.jpg
then you've got a corrupted bootrom aka as permanent brick.

Dude, rule #1: Just follow the directions on 3ds.guide! The guide is updated constantly, these videos get outdated very quick with the rapid progress in the 3DS scene.

You haven't even posted a picture for us to go off of. It's very likely a perma-brick, if you're lucky a hardmod might fix it, otherwise you just wasted 200 euros.

Congrats on your new paperweight.

Burn it with fire, smash it :hateit:, gut it for spare parts or make a 3d silicon mold of it. just to name a few things I would do :P

To be fair if you don't know about 3ds.guide then you can't really blame them from not knowing. It's not really his fault per say that he got bricked if he followed the guide but rather the fact that Youtube is filled with useless or brick-inducing guides that are outdated and not updated. If you google for homebrew you don't necessarily find 3ds.guide from there.

HOWEVER .. The youtube guide clearly says ON TEN POINT THREE FIRMWARE. He attempted to use it on 11.2 so that much IS his fault and he should pay attention to what he reads.

Oh the irony with a name like yours. Have you a nand backup. If so you need to hard mod it. That involves soldering to the mother board

In the linked guide you access HBL through Browser, and then install menuhax. I'm not really sure how doing either could brick the system but the process does not involve creating a backup so he does not have one.

This is what you get when you follow an outdated video guide. Seriously, it's over 1 year old. In the 3DS hacking scene that video guide is just prehistorical.
But anyway, you've got a permamently bricked console, and the only thing you can do with it is to throw it in the trash can.

I'm Not One To Usually Comment On Grammar And Stuff Like That But I Wish Some One Would Explain Why On Earth They Type Like This. It Literally Makes No Sense And Makes My Eyes Hurt. Not To Mention The Fact That Writing Like This Is Much Slower Than Writing Normally.
