Yup. For getting rxtools you can install mset exploit directly to 6.x with a ds mode flashcart. Run rxtools devmode (pastamode it's called i newer versions I thing, or something along the lines) and sysupdater all the way yo 9.2, where browserhax works fine. (you can still use the go gateway exploit in 6.x btw)
