Hello,

So i'm fairly new to the scene, but cautious to cracking the 3DS with Emunand and stuff (I was in pair with PSP scene before).

I bought a New 3DS (European) last year, and I installed last month A9HL updated Sysnand with CakesFW (followed plailect guide), i had it running smoothly, no problems whatsoever.
Installed a bunch of games, played them with no issues whatsoever, i could access to the Nintendo Store, play CIAs, etc.

Yesterday, to my surprise, when i turned on the system, black screen on boot. I hadn't mess with my sd card in weeks, so it was strange.
I can boot to decrypt9 and cakes menu with no issues, but when booting to the home menu, the screen stays black but i can hear the theme from the Home menu... Yet, black screen.

I tried doing the preparatory work again in the guide... black screen again.

I tried a restore from A9HL sysnand that i got when i was following the guide (did a NAND restore keeping a9lh). I managed to boot into the home menu working... Rebooted again just to be sure it was OK (did not do anything in the menu), and... black screen+jingle again, yet this time it had the spotpass notification and it was looping like it was glitched (like when your pc hangs).

So, right now i don't know what to do... it doesn't seem to be bricked, because it boots... yet, refuses to go to the home menu... even with a restore.
What do you guys think?
I haven't found this issue anywhere... Hope you guys can help me. :)

Note: I haven't tried an original sysnand restore because i just don't want to follow all the steps over again (took me over 5 hours to do it carefully :( ).

Thank you very much

Update: restored sysnand original, but, again, black screen.
I think it's hardware related, so i'm activating the warranty.
Thanks for your time.

Please close the thread mods.

Try to delete home menu data on the sd card - should have same effect as reject sdcard after a9lh booted - so after a seccond you pressed power

I use it :(( im too much of a noob to run A9LH + AuRei because its complex and scared of bricking lol.
Yea i used reinand and i saw a9lh and i was like fuck it and just went through with the guide. Its easy but yes i was afraid for my 3ds's life when i did it. But thats why theres nand backups.

Since you've already have the OTP, just flash the original 9.2 sysnand and try setting up AuReiNand. Just follow step 5 of the guide

A full second after you press the power button, take out your SD Card.

Ok i tried this now, and it returns this:
"error: config file not found.
press any key to shutdown"

Still black screen+jingle, after several tries.

Try to delete home menu data on the sd card - should have same effect as reject sdcard after a9lh booted - so after a seccond you pressed power

Can you tell me on which folder, or how to do this please? Cannot find how to do this.

How about switching to AuReiNAND?

I'm considering switching mate :)
If the above solutions don't work, i will try this :)

Happend to me too. Then i restored the last backup from the guide, and now the home menu works! Except all games are gone....
Before posting i did a restore with the last NAND backup... still black screen.

Thank you very much for your replies :)

EDIT: some errors on post.

Like i said previously, it's tedious... I didn't want to do it again and lose all the games installed and stuff.
I'm currently restoring sysnand. Fingers crossed!!

Update: Sysnand Restored
