ok, i am not sure if this is the right area or not. if not i am sorry. i appreciate any help in advance. heres my problem. i have a wii with a cyclowiz modchip.i got new super mario brothers and burtn it. i poped it in and it said it needed to update. i did the hupdate, and halfway through it tells me my system files are corrupt, and tells me to restart. this is before i knew anything about it, i have always done updates as i have a mod chip, and never had any issues. a buddy wanted his wii soft modded so i tried it on me just to see how it works. had home brew channel installed using the zelda hack. then after i tried to do a update, homebrew channel was gone of course. i then started doign some investigating. and saw all the problems people where having, my wii is now 4.2u by the way. i dled in v2 proper patch, and applied. stuck the game in, and it instantly goes to a black screen and tells me to eject disc and reboot. i then found the guide by searching on gbatemp used wii scrubber, and extracted main.dol. patched it and replaced, burnt that, stuck it in the same thing happens. i installed neogamma, when i try and open that all iget is a black screen. i then tried geckos with the cheats, and it loads, when i choose load disc it says reading stats and locks up. what do i need to do? i have been searchign and researching askign in irc, and getting no where. once agin im lost and i thank you for your time in advance.tom
just download a pre patched version of NSMBW to save you a headache
