Ok, old meme aside, I'm new here but I've lurked from time to time.

I'm planning to modchip my old Switch v1 with a Hwfly (probably a clone) chip from Ali Express. I'll be doing the installation myself but I'm not sure how to proceed software-wise after that. Any help would be great!

It's been years since I've been on any forums and even longer since I've asked for help online, but here's hoping I'm not too old to learn. Please forgive any lack of etiquette on my part.

Thank you both. The modchip arrived today so I'll be doing my research tonight. My biggest concerns in this project are avoiding bricking during setup and what to do about the Switch updating its firmware and/or preventing that.

Got the chip installed successfully. I kept having to re-attempt soldering onto that near-microscopic contact on the processor but finally got it.

And now I need to post 5 times before I'm allowed to post a meaningful and informational request for help with a link to the guide that I've been using on Switch forum. Here's hoping...
