Yes, but the entire idea of Abi is to discuss other DAP/Mp3 players besides ipods, not bash it. The members do that all the time. I used to do it to, until I realized how wrong I was.

I'd recommend the Yuin Pk3s over sennheiser buds though. You can buy them at head-direct website for 39.99 with 10 dollar worldwide shipping. Majority of the people prefer the Yuins over the Sennheisers.

Pfft a couple bucks from $4-6 DX earphones isn't really correct PV. They cost like $20+ for the cheapest ones I can find.
I think I'd rather go with a pair of marshmellows anyways if I had the choice. Yes the huge amount of praise does really annoy me. I've actually heard that their lifetime warranty is really bad actually.

I thought they sounded pretty good, at least as good as anything I had used before then, and used them mostly for gaming purposes, so as to not disturb my roommates. However, I gradually started listening to more music, but they eventually broke. So I searched around and came across Sennheiser. I ordered the HD 202's off Amazon and just... wow. The difference was incredible. $20 headphones and they sound absolutely incredible, much better than the Skullcandies, plus they fit my head better. The cord is also much longer and more versatile. I could never go back now, and if these break I'll probably just buy another pair.

The only equivalent I can find on the Canadian Amazon are $50 CAD. List price in the US is apparently $40 USD.

i went from 202's to alessandro ms-1's and loving it. now i'm looking into getting something better than my porta-pro's (they disappeared sometime last week on a trip

) and i sorely need some new one's for my commute to uni.

I know locally they go for $25 CAD, but they go on sale a LOT for $15 CAD. Now I take it that Americans get it cheaper, so I estimate $10 or so. I guess I was wrong.

TBH I don't think I have ever seen a headphone sale at a store.

Anyways I prefer buying online anyways. If $25 CAD = $23 USD roughly well then that is how much I saw them at a Radioshack yesterday.

I finally had a chance to compare Skullcandies and a bunch of my Soundmagics, DX headphones, iPod, etc, and I have to say, I don't think it deserves praise OR criticism.

It's true that it doesn't stand a chance compared to my Soundmagics, much less something like the RE2, I think I even preferred the Creative EP630's more but that is from just memory.

However, it's not that bad... I think what pisses people off is just the fact that everyone praises it non-stop. Asides from that, it would outdo some of the earbuds on the shelves at the Superstore or whatnot, the cheap knockoffs of Skullcandies. I mean there are people who spend $4-6 on earphones from DealExtreme and they can't be compared to Skullcandies. Throw in a couple of bucks more, and you can drop by your local Best Buy and pick up a pair of Skullcandies. Certainly in its price range, you can get better sound, but its far from the worst. And I hear they are pretty good about their lifetime warranty.

Anyways, not trying to defend Skullcandies too much here, frankly I wouldn't buy anything from them, that and I'm sure Tropicana is far more versed in terms of.... errr... hearing. I'm no audiophile.

Was just about to mention those! I have a pair of PL-30's, fantastic sound for the price!

Well, grow up, do some fucking research yourself, and listen to people that actually have experience with audio equipment. Not a bunch of ignorant strangers on some forum you go to. There may be people with good advice (Like .radiant), but the majority is going to say skullcandy, Shure or bose.

Open headphones: Sennheiser PX100, Koss PortaPros, Koss KSC75
Earbuds: Yuin PK3s, Sennheiser series
IEMs: Head-direct RE2, Soundmagic series

All under 50 USD, and all sound like gods, compared to that trash.

I understand you xD, you're really into something and then some people who have only bought what is most popular, thinks they know everything about that topic >__> Like when someone only listens to 50cent and then thinks they know everything about rap and hiphop and stuff.
