I don't like how the Bluray spec is changing. These "Profiles"... 1.0/1.1/2.0/etc
You stick to a standard. My neighbor has a very old DVD player since he was an early adopter, and brand new DVDs still work fine. (DVD+/-Rs don't work, but they weren't as available then)
I don't like how consumers are being forced into beta testers, especially since they just want to watch their damn movie. Early adopters get screwed over with pricing, everyone knows that. They shouldn't get screwed over with functionality.
Personally, I don't care about the improvements over DVD (besides resolution of course) Most people just want to watch the movie.
I'm not investing in Bluray until the damn API or whatever is frozen.
(HD Downloads are alright, but I still prefer a physical copy over a DRM file. No DRM is a totally different story...)
