Hey there! I've been following the wiiu.guide guide, and I'm on the Haxchi part. I have Mario 64 DS on my system, but when I run the haxchi installer it says "finished installing haxchi". When it goes back to the home menu, the game is still super Mario 64, but it does load the hbl. What?

If you want to get the custom icon+name on haxchi, you'll have to put an sd:/haxchi folder on your SD card before installing it.

You can get one from the package here: https://github.com/FIX94/haxchi/releases/download/v2.5u2_v1.6/Haxchi_v2.5u2.zip and rerunning the installer.

Also, you can customize config.txt to change the button layout. The default is to boot HBL, hold B for system menu w/ sig patches, and hold A to boot a fw.img.

Though from what I understand as long as you stick with regular Haxchi the worst that could happen is that it just won't work and the only way it would cause a brick is if you mess with the cold boot stuff.

yeah but using haxchi on a noone legit title would be useless since the title wouldnt launch becuase no sig patches lol.

If you install fake DS VC game [Invalid .tik] then you will need CFW to boot to use it.
If you overwrite it with CBHC, you're honestly fucked. Why? Wii U still checks for .tiks and if game is linked to X console on boot, If it detects that it's invalid, it will throw System Error.
Oh, and also, CBHC is just a DS VC game which is launched on boot after Wii U screen. [After everything is done loading]

He said the Haxchi DS game boots up fine, even with Haxchi installed. So I'm sure he bought the game from the eshop.

Unless he's already running CFW when he launches Haxchi.
