Basically, my storage only has like 468 blocks left on my Wii U's vWii, and I want to try more WiiWare games, but some of them won't load from the SD card menu unless i patch IOS80, and on the page about the vWii IOS80 installer, they said it's dangerous. It's been a while since i modded my vWii back on May 10th, 2025 and i kinda forgot how this stuff works so I want a full guide on how to safely install IOS80 without messing anything up since I have a lot of important game saves on my vWii and I don't want to lose them.
While most of the WiiWare games i have can be loaded just fine from the SD Card, Dr Mario WiiWare (Wiimmfi patched), World of Goo, and Super Mario 64 (It's a virtual console, not wiiware, but still counts) are the ones I'm having problems with. When i launch them from SD Card menu, they say "Failed to launch" and when copied with data management they say "The data may not have been copied".
Also, do I need to add any additional files to use the IOS80 vWii patcher homebrew, or will it just work with only the homebrew app in the homebrew channel? I have the homebrew app in my homebrew channel for some reason (I think the vWii hacks guide told me to add it but i never bothered to use it since i didn't think I would need to until later on)
