Homebrew Having problems with ftbrony

I go and load ftbrony, put in the ip on my mac, and it says

The server may not exist or it is unavailible at this time. Cehck the server name or IP adress.

I have a similar problem sometimes on Windows 7.
Remember, you want to access that IP via FTP, so make sure you're on the same network as the 3DS and make sure you have a FTP client of some sort.
Also, the program tends to bug out on me sometimes and just doesn't want to connect. I like to restart ftbrony, then wait a minute or so before attempting another connection.

yeah ftbrony which comes with latest starterpack doesn't work for me. I had to go to ftbrony thread and download latest fixed version and it worked

How can I know which version of ftBrony I am using? Every app file that I have loaded and ran says it is v1.0 at the top. Where can I download the latest version? Also is this the most preferred ftp home-brew for 3DS at the moment?
