Have you ever downloaded a game that you liked or respected so much, that you decided to buy it. Maybe you liked the gameplay or the story, or maybe you knew the producer and didn't want to make him angry.
If you do, which game was that, or will that be?

Yes, it happens regularly:

- CoD 2 for the PC
- Portal
- Oblivion
- PES 2008 for the Wii

All games I first pirated, and then after about 100 hours (!!!) I decided to buy them, to support the developer.

Pokemon. Partly because I needed the original copy in order to go to events lol.
Oblivion, Gears of War 2, Halo, and many more.

I dont pirate games as much as before, and if I do pirate its mostly for try out purposes.

The Ace Attorney series. Oh, and TWEWY and Minecraft
Though every pirated game that I have currently is on my "To Buy" list, Ace Attorney is at the top, and the other 2 are in second and third.

I really want to buy all of the Professor Layton games, but I'm afraid that a few days after that some kind of Limited Edition Super Layton Package will come out including all 6 the stories (5 games + 1 movie). So I'm waiting for that.
But besides that I've done it the other way around a lot. First buying and then pirating.

every DS, wii, PS2, GBA, or gamecube game I own I downloaded first before buying. I more or less DL to demo a game =3

Examples include

Monster tale - DS (new)
Klonoa - Wii (new)
Persona 4 - PS2 (used)
Summon night - GBA (new)
Eternal Darkness - GC. (used)

Harvest Moon: FOMT on the GBA. I played the arse out of the ROM then decided it would be nice to actually own a genuine copy of the cart.

Oh, Audiosurf and Minecraft too. And Morrowind as well, now that I think about it.

Spore, but only because I wanted to access the online components.
...
Oh and Audiosurf. Though technically I didn't buy it, it was a gift :>-

All of them. Well, I don't pirate games in the first place, seeing as I have some self respect. I buy games and rip them to my HDD, then put the retail disc back in the case. If I trade on in or return it, I delete the game off my HDD.
