My m3i zero just arrived in Canada yesterday night, so I figure I'll get it in about 1-3 days. So I know that the m3i zero "f-core" has been updated (i think that's what it was called), however, has the Sakura firmware been updated to work on the dsi's most current firmware?

The Sakura will work on 1.4, it just needs the new F_Core to bypass the 1.4 block. BTW, instead of downloading everything seperately, I've done it for you! All you have to do is unzip and copy onto your microSD card, then use the updating caple to flash the D_Core.DAT.

I went through and made a few changes to the SYSTEM folder from http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=4808 to make it easier for everyone (especially M3i Zero owners).

Changes:
1) F_CORE.DAT (1.4 compatible) is added to the package.
2) cheat.db is updated to the 9/1 release.
3) realtime.dat is replaced with the one from the latest TouchPod, which should fix the soft reset problems.

Enjoy!

I wouldnt recomend going to this new F_CORE.DAT file just yet if you dont have a DSi. If you have an NDS or NDSL it is not necessary and you will lose your ability to soft reset to sakura. Just lettin you know.

F_CORE.DAT has nothing to do with soft reset. Soft reset is an issue present in Sakura.

My m3i zero cart itself seems to have something sticking out a bit in the middle of it, I didn't mind it at first, however, when I put in the sakura firmware and start it up, it says M3 real on the bottom right. Is it possible that this could be an m3 real with a m3i zero sticker put on top of it?
The only thing (and this is a big thing) that makes me think that i did need to flash the m3i zero before using it, so it does have the thing on the side to flash it, however, i'm not sure if the m3 real used that as well.

the sakura firmware was developed for the m3 real

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
