They were making profits off of Nintendo Ips. Serves them right to get raped by Nintendo for selling access to pirated content. Pirated content is supposed to be free. Learn to put your self on tor if you gonna sell pirated content.

the ps3 scene had a big problem with that one. if you do a little research, you'll see that it's bullshit. selling links to game fixes. lmao

They were? I was never asked to pay them anything.

Knowing how hard Nintendo goes for pirate sites, I honest to goodness can't imagine why people would try to make those types of warez forums. Unless you're crafty, you're going to go down, hard.

I think anyone who's interested in finding...backups...for their systems should just look into torrenting. No dumb adfly links, easy downloading.

Pretty much this, the site im currently using is easy to find without even putting any hint to its URL. I know its going to get wrecked eventually, but for now its actually really reliable in terms of constant updates.

What about update files? Is there a section for those too? Because those are more important to me than games.

Oh yes updates/DLC are either among separate links or they are already pre-packed within the said xci on the same page of the game. The admin of the site has Joker from Persona 5 as an avatar if you scroll down to the comments thats all im going to blurt out.

Sifted through the thread and found no mention of how Nintendo was able to discover their real names and addresses. Were they making it public themselves on their forum?

For me or you, something like that would not be possible. For lawyers? They can easily get that kind of information.

Everyone posting links to games on there were making money by hiding them behind several paywalls. Some of the ad sites got ridiculous. Someone on there told me about Universal Bypass app for Chrome and I've been using it ever since it doesn't work though if nobody has ever downloaded the game that also has the app but even long after Darkumbra I've gotten past a lot of ad sites due to it.

was their ads on the site? If the site made money that way its the same thing. Making money off pirated content. It gives Nintendo a good reason to rape them.
The site isn't providing the pirated content though, its users are, so that argument doesn't really work. The ads pay for server costs, running/maintenance of the forum and such, which isn't free you know. Not in terms of time nor money.
Some of the users do put their links behind adfly and similar though, directly profiting from it. But they pour a lot of their free time into uploading massive collections of games and constantly replacing non working links with working ones. It's only fair they get something back for their time.

What about lowering the price of the products

Games have stayed the same price for 2 gens now. Costs of games are going up not down. Some Triple A titles cost 50-100 million to make and that's before advertising. Can't blame the game devs on this piracy is wrong we all know it I'm guilty of it but I'm not going to deflect blame.

But Switch has Xbox 360 graphics.

There's been a ton of PS4 and Xbox One ports to Switch that say otherwise. It's clearly not as powerful as PS4 or Xbox One but that doesn't mean games are cheap to make.

Let's say they start selling Switch games for $49.99 you think it's going to stop pirates from getting games from free? Not a chance.

But even the other companies lower the price of the games after sometime. I could be wrong, but I don't remember Nintendo doing the same. The Wii shop channel was a joke.
