we know there are games where they're ridiculously easy, and then there are the games where losing is actually part of the progression through the game. but i'm rather curious, are there any games where you seriously cannot lose or die, even if you tried? yeah there the games, where its ridiculously easy, but you can die by being stupid, but thats not what i'm looking for.

You can't lose or die in many adventure games eg. Monkey Island. You can only get held up by the puzzles.

Atlier Iris 2 - Azorth of Destiny.

Never die once, only the final boss gave me trouble, but other than than, it's a piece of cake, even managed to mastered all of skills too, even if i was using regular attacks, i got past all of them.

But if you want a game where it is seriously impossible to lost, then generally click and point games, except for broken sword, that's the only click and point game that i know of where it is possible to die at certain scene.

Off topic: damn, my computer really suck, didnt know it suck factor till i tried playing tales of monkey island and it lag..

the lego starwars, batman, etc games were pretty easy and you couldn't get a game over, you would just drop 1000 studs and you could then pick them up as soon as you re spawn. Or are you talking about not dying altogether?

I got the king of all these. My mother, being the drunken dumb whore that she is, decided in all her wisdom to take the money I'd been saving up for a new Super Nintendo game (when I was a kid, the SNES was THE SHIT and the games cost a damn fortune), Super Metroid I think, and spend it all on an LCD game of Alladin to keep me amused on the 7 hour car journey to our family vacation to Cornwall.

Now, this game is impossible to lose. The enemies attack you and you flash, but you have no life bar or any sort of real effect for not avoiding the attack. After that the enemies either ignore you and go about their business, or their sword boomerangs back to smack them in the teeth and kill them. As is the case with the final boss. Therefore once you switch it on and start the game, you can go grab a sandwich or something while the game finishes itself, there's no reason for the player to be involved.

I later found out that the game only cost £10, the rest of my money she spent in River Island on herself. Bitch.

If memory serves ... it is actually quite possible to die in Monkey Island 1 ... when guybrush is tossed off the dock and is under the ocean, if you leave him 10 minutes or so he will die forcing you to reset the game ...

but no i really cant think of any games its impossible to lose at at the moment closest ive come so far is mario paint first thought was fun for the whole family no winning ... no losing just fun ... but then i remembered that shitty fly swatting game ... and i remember working for weeks on end on a drawing only to find out that my sister came and saved her shitty little stickman -.-

Logically it should be near impossible to lose on WarioWare DIY. You made the game yourself, if you still cant play it then you might as well give up and take up knitting. Obviously that's just your own games though. Some of mine are evil [IMG]

maybe Prince of persia: Forgotten sand (when dieing, you automatically resurrect to the nearest check point)
Or, Soul reaver, when you die in the real world you go to underworld where you can revive to real world (though, you can die easily in underworld, but I never did).

On DS, Heracles is pretty long to make the party die on purpose

in a game named prey after you got to a certain point, you coulden't die anymore. you would go to a ghost realm and needed to reclaim some health and spirit power. then you would be spawn at the place of death again...

Prince of Persia (as mentioned), Prey- where you went to the Spirit world and shot ghost fish or something, and I suppose Halo if you do it on co-operative and one of you just sits way back so you respawn automatically when you die.

I'm pretty sure you can die in BK:Nuts and Bolts.

I'd say Daedalean Opus for the original Gameboy is one. If you don't know/aren't familiar with the title, it's an old puzzle game where you have to make differently shaped blocks fit a certain shaped space. There's no dying mechanism implanted in the game, whatsoever. Time just ticks, and that's about it.

Another, for me, at least is the Pokemon series. I'm talking about the original RPG, not the spin offs. My team usually levels up so well that everything is such a breeze, and I hardly ever grind.
