Hacking Hamtaro - Ham-Hams Unite! Problem Saving

Hi all, I need some help with my EZ-flash IV. I'm trying everything I can think of, but roms including the one mentioned above won't save properly. They save fine at first, then I come back after 2 or 3 play and the save is gone. Please help!
