i finished the game a few days ago (i beat world 17) - but there are more after which i did not play yet.
the old man costume made the end a little easier, but it was not very hard for me -- although there are just a few, maybe 4, crowns in stages that i could not get!
the time trial mode is very tricky, although the ninja costume helps of course, but even so the first few i played were hard.
i have not tried score attack yet.

Yeah I got all the crowns in the main 17 worlds, didn't get stuck until 18-5. Have cleared 20 worlds now, couple more new ones to go, and have done more than half the score/time attacks.

So yeah I've been a bit addicted :)

I got everything on the main game on wednesday, got the King's crown and mantle.

Only those trial things are left now.

but how can you get REALLY stuck? You can buy hints with play coins if you're really desperate.

So I noticed that one of the late game unlockable outfits (the second to last one) actually makes you move faster. Does anyone know if any of the other outfits have properties that I wasn't noticing before?

the ninja makes you move faster, the old man one gives you an extra block to use, the rabbit lets you jump one block higher. i guess you can't read any japanese? :)

Can't read a lick of it. That's why I haven't bought any of the scrolls. I assumed they were hints and I didn't want none of that.

Good to know that those costumes give you advantages, I'll be playing through as cool guy with shades still then! I'm on world 19 now, it's still stellar.

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

@BigOnYa i was legitimately trying to scratch my leg, this is reminding me of that cylinder post

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go

Ken unless the games are made for that screen size most suck on a screen that size... Having a square screen and being brighter and higher res helps but it's not a cure all, text is tiny bullets are tiny, your.... Well lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
You can stretch to fit probably it's not all bad that they make it seem to be

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
