Anyone else experiencing palette issues with some games? I couldn't find any information on this so thought I'd ask here. I recently uploaded a nearly complete set of NTSC Nes roms to my NES mini and I'm super excited with the results. I've been going through each game to verify and clean up things like awkward titles, box art, etc. I noticed particularly for The Addams Family that the palette looked really... dull. Checked out gameplay videos on youtube and they all have much more vivid colors. At the start, my tree is more yellow/brown than orange, with purple rocks rather than blue. I also noticed this with WWF Wrestlemania. Same thing too really... top HUD during a match is yellow/brown and the ring is more purple than blue.

EDIT: I am 99.9999% sure its not the monitor, either. Same results on 3 different setups.

What I would like to see is if you guys can ad foobar or... I forgot the name of that other multi-format player... add one of those music players with full support for all the VGM formats out there, from .nsf to stream format so we can turn our NES Minis into a VG music jukebox. It'd be even cooler if there was a kind of 8-bit NES jukebox-ish looking GUI to go with it. I'd load as much of my fave music as I can fit in the extra space.

Azure: I noticed that on Megaman 5, when you choose a boss, it shows those bars above and below the boss for their intro and the bottom bar jitters. I haven't gotten to check musch else out yet, but do see minor other graphical glitches here and there.

The only ROM issue i have had is the Elite remake for the nes, the bottom half of the screen is corrupted

3 MAME games running on Mini NES Classic via RA on core MAME2003.

The only complain is Altered Beast has the same issue than FBA 2012 has. But Konami games that FBA 2012 doesn't run(maybe is the rom version) here works like a charm.

@Cluster has no obligation to release updates. It's a free initiative, and we would be glad about this. @Cluster , take your time.

My suggestion for next hakchi2 is one version with custom folders, and other with external modules/apps. In this way a more "simple" version could be release faster.

Question: how NES Mini will support different controllers for different game platforms?

most controllers work lbased on original nintendo calssic controller, wich is supported thanks to nintendo... so i don't know about all of them but you can find models that were already working for the console with the buttons assigned already... maybe some need tweaking but that shouldn't be a problem.

But the plug/connector issue, how to solve that?

I think he means "new" 3rd part controllers will work with some tweaking. Ones that have the NES classic end connection. Not original controllers that have the wrong ends that came with the original consoles. There are some companies ahta are making old connections to NES classic adapters.

Google Mayflash limited.

I'm a lucky man. I had a ebay discount of 15€ and I have bought a Wii classic pro controller + 2 cord extensions(i don't need but to use the discount need more items) for less of 9€. :hrth:

Rgs.

Sorry for OT, but i will upload another video with more Arcade games via RA on MAME2003 core.

I remember someone discussing this on Reddit before, the pallet used in emulation and an original NES are slightly different but almost unnoticeable. Maybe a problem with the settings on your TV? I can't imagine that the pallet would be that off that it could be noticeable or annoying. Did you try a different HDMI cable?

You know what the more I stare at it with other games the more I'm inclined to believe it is my monitor maybe I should revisit my other setups and try a different HDMI cable.

I think it has to do with the mappers. Mega Man 3 Ultimate does this too on the stage select. Run MM5 in retroarch and that should fix it.

    Hello
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
@SylverReZ find me ONE community that is free of drama and politics. even video games forums (like this one) have politics section. and for some reason gamers still take consoles/brands wars seriously. even as a kid i never took the console wars bait despite being a nintendo kid.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
one of the reasons i deleted all my social media accounts, reddit account (although i was rarely using it) etc was to get away from this shit.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Vetusomaru, Sadly, not all communities like to play nice. Forums are pretty much dying despite Discord amongst other social media being available.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
i only kept my twitter accounts and only because many of the artists i like share their art only/mostly at twitter.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
lots of discord groups (even the big ones) are also dead for some reason.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Twitter is way too shittier.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
that's why i added some firefox addons to block shit like twitter trends.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Discord, on the other hand, moderation tends to not be very nice in video game communities from what I had experienced.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
nah, discord is also a shithole. discord is good only if you have your own community with your own rules. or if you re lucky to find some groups that arent shitholes.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
as about forums, when i recently revisited some old forums i used to be regular and seeing how immature most members still are i was like "Yeap. Nothing of value has been lost.". Unfortunately it's the good, comfy forums that ended up dead or shut down, especially because of internet centralization.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    I like being immature.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Let be immature online ffs.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
As long as it's not resetera, anywhere is ok really.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    resetera is just... cancerous
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
is that Ultimate Hentai Kamen at your avatar?
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    I see you're a person of culture.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
    likewise
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    It's a genuinely great manga.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
too bad it never got an anime adaption, even in the form of OVA since a tv series would be too censored for the manga's material.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
    and yeah, great manga.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
no idea why it would be censored tbh, it has nothing to explicit
