Maybe. You always can copy the hakchi2 folder that used to hack mini and use in the Desktop PC, but this time try to has disable AV after and during all the hakchi2 process. If works there's AV issue.
If not there is another thing like antimalware o similar app that block the access to hakchi2 to this temp folder that creates.

The strange part is that in readme notes of patch no words about a mapper change... But like you say the game works.
EDIT: Making more test of this Rolling Thunder, in goodness 3.23b has the rolling thunder + French patch but the game is mapper #64 So if you have all Rolling Thunder.nes (Usa Tengen or Unl but without french patch) tried on hakchi2 one of them will add without warning. I'm practically sure that there is a Rolling Thunder in English with mapper compatible with mini NES or there is a patch to change the mapper, but I don't think was the french translation.

I downloaded Rolling Thunder from two different sites (i can pm you both sites if you'd like) as well as using the Goodness folder. I couldn't get any of them to work, but for some odd reason it did with that french translation, from using the Rolling Thunder (U).nes rom. Maybe just crazy luck who knows? If i can get an English version working i'll be sure to post about it.

I'm not a tech guy, but could there be a way to go into the French language patch, and modify it so it won't change the language, but still change the mapper?

Seems like you got change the linux build/verison to special one he coded then doing bunch other stuff I'm not knowledgeable in . So Ill wait for the step by step youtube tut guides from one of yall haha

That's wonderful music to my ears. I have more SNES games that I own than NES games, and I'd like to be a law abiding citizen and only play games I own.

Thanks to Cluster, I love being able to add more games to my NES mini. However, I'm experiencing a problem. I used the Hakchi2 version 2.11 and it originally worked fine, was able to load 46 additional games which gave me total of 76 including the 30 games the NES mini came with. A couple of days later I decided to remove a couple of the games I had added as well as add another 20 or 25 games. Unfortunately, when I tried to use Hakchi2 version 2.11 the second time I ran into issues. Everything was all set identical to the first time I used the program to add games the first time (when it worked great) except this time when I clicked the Synchronize selected games with NES mini button a bubble popped up asking me to "Dump the kernel image of my NES mini and that I only had to do this once and would I like to continue" so I clicked yes. Right after I clicked yes an error bubble popped up which said "C:\users\owner\desktop\data\fes1.bin not found. Please try again." Yet when I check the Hakchi2 2.11 file and click data file the fes1.bin is sitting right there. So I'm pretty confused as to what I should do to resolve this matter. I've been researching this issue but can't seem to find an answer and I'm sure it's probably a easy fix it's just a fix I've yet to find. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

EDIT: Isn't the program... It's the combination of dope rom with french patch... I used IPSWin and works ok... We have a mini Mistery xD

La console travaill avec des roms NTSC, donc U et J travaill bien. L'es roms E von travailler un peut plus vite que normal.
