Upgraded tonight... not really sure why though, I mean everything was working before... not planning on going up from 4.1 until some useful functionality gets added. Things I've noticed:

-Exiting HBC to System menu, or to Bootmii (as ios) requires 2 attempts as the first attempt just reloads HBC.
-Uloader and everything else seems to be working fine.
-HBC still doesn't see my FAT32 partition on my HDD... it's the 3rd partition... Wish you could select it like in the loaders...

Still happy to see an update... Great job TT!

for me having to exit twice happens when you change the view but if you leave normal it exits fine...

good job team twizzers
no problems at all to install this update, just had to launch dop-ios and ios41 thingy
and for those talking about conspiracy and stuff, thx you made my day

This is the moment I have to say: "Thank God I never sold Smash Bros Brawl"!!!

Now on the other hand, has anyone put out a tutorial or something out there, I have few questions like:

1.- Now that HBC launches apps with Hardware access, does this mean kernel mode is active and you
may install WADs without reloading IOS?

2.- Has anyone done this on a Virgin 4.3 Wii yet and installing stuff like Disc Loading channels, USB Loader channels, cioscorp/darkcorp, priiloader, etc?

Thanks in advance.

lol why would anyone ever sell Super Smash Bros Brawl. That game is amazing and it is the most popular hacked game for ocarina. The online had potential but they ruined it, but its still an amazing game.

Ok considering you can load Bootmii from the Priiloader and then the HBC from there I updated! The thing is I installed the HBC and Bootmii but chose not to uninstall DVDX. Should I have done so?

why no more DVDx?
I dont get it, did TT drop support for it or was it blocked by nintendo?

DVDx is done a bit different now. Before, what happened was loading the DVDX title, a register called HW_AHBPROT was set to allow full hardware access, meaning bascially an app that initialized DVDX would be able to control all hardware on the Wii, including disc drive. Now, TT have made it that by adding a little extra to the meta.xml, HW_APHBPROT is set for full hardware access on boot of any app, and DI_Init() (the function which gets apps ready to use DVDX), still works fine. In other words, apps can now use DVDx without actually needing DVDx.

FYI, this feature also means you can have on-the-fly patched IOS. Because you have full hardware access, you can disable the MEM2 protection, which allows you to patch the currently running IOS in memory, e.g. removing signature checking, which would then let you install fakesigned content with NO exploits.

This IOS on-the-fly patching possibilty is awesome in my opinion, I guess the little surprise is USB2 support coming soon in a similar way (no need for installing cIOS202 anymore) ?

Well I don't think so... USB2.0 will not benefit HBC a lot... Maybe in some huge apps... But I don't think it would be a little surprise... I think it's related to something set up on the sd card... like themes...

I kinda don't want to install this, as the 'phone home' feature might turn into some form of AP.
AP? Advanced Paranoia?
Anti-Piracy

Hmm, the new look is ok IMO.
Full hardware access sounds interesting, but we need someone to actually use that first

edit: also, I saw we got a way to boot the hackmii installer with MINI now (good for people who still have BootMii boot2 on 4.3), but how would on do this? Replace the ppcboot.elf with the bootmini.elf from the hackmii installer?

ReadmeIf you have previously installed BootMii as boot2, you can also use the SD
browser of the BootMii shell to launch the MINI version - use the bootmini.elf
binary in this case.

Updated yesterday already...I kinda miss the old look, but I guess it won't be long until I like the new one. HW_AHBPROT is a damn nice feature, I guess DOP-Mii will soon use this (or at least I hope so), but I dunno if WiiMC could gain USB 2.0 with it (I guess it can't, but I'm a noob, so I'm probably wrong)...

Thanks Team Twiizers for all the great work, as always

Anyone else notice -

1. My Wii gets stuck on black screen now during startup if I have autoboot system menu enabled and delay set to 0.
I liked this setup, I didnt see bootmii. Now I have to set it to a delay of 1 for it to boot. Not a big problem or anything but I just wondered if I have fuc*ed something up when I updated or if this is normal. I cannot seem to get around this. (bootmii as boot2)

Yep, exactly the same here. On rebooting the Wii for the first time after updating HBC and Hackmii, I thought the thing was bricked for a second!
