So.. I'd like to hack my Wii U, but am i right that it can't be set up to run as easily and similar to a Wii with WiiFlow yet?
IE: Just boot the Wii, load WiiFlow (Or auto boot to it), play games off HDD?

Is it that simple for Wii U yet?

My daughter has a wiiu which I want to hack, I'm going to use Haxchi but have a question. I have purchased a DS game on my Nintendo account which I purchased for £6.29. Can I log into my daughter's wiiu, download the DS game again and then use Haxchi or will I have to purchase the game itself again?

Accounts on WiiU are console locked as far as I know. Do not have a WiiU yet but read it. Its not like Playstation PSN or Xbox Live

MartU is correct. Your NNID can only be used on one WiiU at a time. However, Nintendo can break that association for you if you tell them that you replaced your console because the other one is lost/broken/at your now-ex-girlfriend's-house/isn't working right (or pretty much any good excuse.)

We don't have solid information about what happens when they break that association and you try to go to the eShop from the old device. However, you can delete the user that your NNID is associated to without affecting the installed games, and if the machine stays offline, they can't remotely revoke the tickets (if they would have anyway.)

Still, the fact that they only allow the ID to be associated to one WiiU console suggests that they just don't have NNID-based control after the titles are purchased, so they have to limit the use of the ID by making you call them.

All that said, if you use CBHC, don't do anything with your NNID without removing CBHC first. That would not be smart.

Forgot to mention it has Mario Kart 8 preinstalled. No DLC, you have to pay for. I'd like to be able to just get the DLC. I don't mind forking out another £6.29 if I think about it.

Also, Ive noticed on Usb Helper that some back ups have CFW only after the title, does this mean that because I installed Haxchi/CBHC, should stay clear of these particular back ups?

I know this question is a little old, but in case you didn't get an answer, CBHC counts as "CFW only". That indicator just means that you need the signature checks patched, which CBHC does.

If you want to learn about all the wii u hacks available today, you can go here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-guide-to-wii-u-hacking.396828/
If you want to learn about the vWii (wii part of the wii u) hacks then go here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-vwii-hacking-guide.425852/

If you just want to install game back ups in USB or internal storage for your daughter to access easily like any app or game without initializing any hack, then you can use what they call "the brazilian method", there is a full explanation here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii-u-usb-loading-install-wiiu-games-to-usb-or-internal-memory.445514/
Again if you only want to install the game back ups without any region unlocking or unbought DLC, you can skip any CFW related hacks. It's not necessary for just that.

Hi,

I'm interested in this brazilian method for my Wii U which seems like ideal for me, I already have a standard Wii for homebrew retro stuff. I just want to store Wii U games on a USB so my son can play them without messing with the disks. I currently own loads of game discs so I would like to do backups of them. My question is can you play both the disc and backup at the same time on different consoles? also what happens if you was to say sell the game disk and someone else was using it? I know the person you was replying to said they wanted to rent the games so I'm sure you would have mentioned somewhere that it would get flagged if the two games was being played together but just want to double check.

Many thanks!

There is nothing unique about any particular disc. It doesn't matter if you borrow, download, or buy and sell, because there's no association between the installed title and the disc it came from.

Of course, you can't get rid of the disc and still claim that it's a backup, but do as you will.

Alright sounds good. Might a USB Stick work as well or is it to slow?

And should I go to Red Nand or SysNand CFW any difference?

And what is difference between RedNand / SysNand CFW
