What controller do I use?

Also will Homebrew files fit on the stock SD card or should I buy a larger one?

Read the OP and the stickies, they'll give you the info you need.

Also, what do you mean "Stock" SD card? The Wii U doesn't come with one. Recommended size is "As big as you can afford".

Greetings. I been having a hard time getting Gecko to work for Wii u cheats. Is WiiLauncher currently working for the latest list of wii u games? Like Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors?

I'm gonna have to try again then lol.
I'm using this tutorial https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-guide-to-wii-u-hacking.396828/
and I got this point
Windows:
1. Double-click on mongoose-free-5.6.exe to start it
2. Right-click on the Mongoose notification icon (by the date/time)
3. Click "Set shared directory:" and choose the folder where the Homebrew Launcher is located
4. Right-click on the Mongoose notification icon again. Note the URL, this is what you'll be typing into your Wii U.
But the WiiU isn't reaching it . Shit , I think I just realized what I was doing wrong. That folder needs to be set as shared on the network doesn't it ?

Use an online link and install this with it : http://gbatemp.net/threads/haxchi-v2-0-a-persistent-wiiu-hack.451071/
Much better offline persistent hack.

Man, I was about to say! You only need to go to a payload site twice with this method.
Super Mario 64 DS [USA]", sm64ds_zip, &sm64ds_zip_size }, this is from the eshop right ? Because when I try haxchi is says no files found or some shit. I did have to move the game from the usb back to the nand though.
Would that make a difference? and if so will I beforced rt update online ? I'm currently on 5.5.0 U

To use Haxchi, you need to download a DS Virtual console title from the eShop.

Thankfully, there's a handy free one that everyone can grab, Brain Training.
You have to destroy the Disembodied floating head of Dr. Kawashima, but it's worth it.

To answer your other question, As far as Nintendo seem to be concerned, 5.5.1 is the final firmware for the WiiU (though there might be a 5.6.0 when Breath of the Wild hits).

You can use the Tubehax DNS servers to prevent any possible forced updates or messages from nintendo, yet still retain access to the eShop.

Good Luck.

EDIT: I meant 5.5.1. Silly me.

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76

    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
