A step by step guide on how to hack static memory follows with example on finding Social rank with the old lady.

Item stored in main-data is very likely to be static relative to main base. This means two things.

1. Any bookmark you make with Breeze will continue to be valid when you restart the game and you can make a cheat code to share with others just by doing a add bookmark to cheat without any further effort. ( Happy sharing what you find when you do DIY hacking with zero extra effort ) Only one thing to keep in mind. While storage location may be static the order of items may not be. In this case of the Old Lady Social, if you make a bookmark on your Old Lady Social it will be pointing to something similar but may not be Old Lady Social for your friend's game. An analogy would be you always put your wallet in your left pocket but order of the bill in the wallet won't be the same all the time. Reach for your left pocket always get you the wallet but the first bill you pull from that wallet may not be of the same value.

2. The memory address will be the same while on a gaming session ( no restart ). This means you can reload the game without changing the address so if you have game save where the value is different you can reload and search.




Step by step to get to the screen above.
1. load save1
2. goto Riverbank and check old lady to find out the current rank (2)
3. search u16 2 with main only set to 1

4. talk and get the rank up to 3
5. continue search u16 3
6. hack and find the memory ( since what you found would be valid you can reload, go to river bank and check your rank to see what happen when you hack )
7. after hacking the value to 9 talk again to get max

I suspect you can do this process for everything you may want to modify for this game.

One last thing about the game, while the memory is static the arrangement is game play dependent. You will have to DIY to find where your old lady social is at.



The number next to the rank is a identifier. When I hack the value to another the old lady rank becomes zero. It appear that 19 is old lady identifier as when I put an entry below I get old lady rank to 5. This also validate that the data is 128bit aligned. i.e. each line you see in the memory view represent an entry

Want more code from me than provide save and step by step instruction to get to the point where hacking is possible.
I am zero with game knowledge. Can't do the simple thing like get into a battle. It was pure luck that I get to the old lady or I might have given up after looking for a few minutes

You know what to do right? Provide save and step by step instruction to something or there will never be cheats from me until I have decided that I want to play the game ( maybe never )

I think method I have shown should work for P3. DIY hack is expected to be easy.

I'm nearly done with the tables, I deleted the dummy items, There are 310 Weapons, 140 Armor, 97 Foot pieces, and 155 accessories in total. For items its 254 items and 253 skill cards(no dummies)

Would something like this be helpful? I made it based off the switch IDs from your Agi and Garu code, The format does match where each skill card is +1 to the switch ID.

The all equipment table is almost done, so they can use the table soon to get switch ID for all equipment.
Armor, Feet and Accessories IDs are finished, just need to write up weapons. Thanks to the online websites Listing the dummy items in the item lists, I was able to accurately pinpoint all the dummy memory IDs to make the tables.

My biggest question , is it possible to create an persona skill editor?, I mean change and edit party members persona skills. MC can change with skill cards but party members cannot. It was done on PSP and it would be amazing on switch

Here are the tables for All items in Persona 3 Portable, I hope the hours I spent on this will be of use to everyone in making cheats for this game! If these tables aren't necessary to make new cheats silly me for assuming this was helpful... I've checked the tables as much as I can but there may be some minor mistakes if I still missed some. Overall the tables are 98% accurate to the switch ID with the many test codes I've done. Hope we get more cheats! Thanks to @TomSwitch for making the initial codes so I could write this table!
