I was wondering which would be more effecient for maintaining a library of my favorite playstation games, a hacked PS3 (PS1-3 games) or just emulating it all on PC?

I don't currently have a PS3 but was thinking about getting a cheap one somewhere but was wondering if it was ultimately worth it.

I dont think you can emulate PS3

You actually can. But it's not intended to run commercial games. Buuuut... technically... yes, it's possible. >> RPCS3.

On topic, it will actually be better to get a hacked PS3 if you want to play all the games available on it, because the emulator can just run one or two commercial games at a stable performance. For PSOne and PSTwo, you can just download the emulators of the respective console and you'll be fine.

Ps3 with a good custom firmware its the way to go, the ones i sold comes with the last Rebug firmware's, some gifts and extras ;D

Why is hacked so much of a necessity?
The PS3 is old as fuck, and you can get a good variety of games second hand for less than 10€ on gamestop.
It would be just a couple of games that you pay above 10€ for.

Now, if you want emulate in PC I suppose you weren't suggesting hacked for homebrew.

I more or less want a solid place to keep all my favorite PS1 and PS2 games and play them comfortably. My old PS1 and PS2 no longer work and I prefer to consolidate or get things digitally now a days and not repay for games I've already bought. I never owned a PS3 but I'm down for getting some exclusives I missed out on.

Well, in my case...
Country: >>>>>> Venezuela.
So yeah, there's that.

I've explained around the forum my stance on the matter...

Your case I understand perfectly.
But in the USA, the same as here in Germany you can actually find games in the stores and they are cheap.

If i ever leave this hell I'll most likely go legit, or legit+HB just to get game modifiers, or VC/eboots injects that aren't offered officially.
I have a couple of original 3DS cartridges and used to have about 2 UMD's, but even if i wanted the ones I actually like they cost a ridiculous amount of money, or you aren't able to find them at all.
