You can make an NSP forwarder and give it your own title ID. I don't usually give my ports one myself.

Yeah, forwarder works fine but it soft-crashes when you try to quit properly from gzdoom, but it still saves the settings tho, so not a big deal.

Users can connect a USB Keyboard to the Dock or any USB-C Hub for the Switch. Keyboard works perfectly.
However, for ease of use, it would be better if there was a Keyboard Image or Icon floating on the Screen, where if you tap it, it comes up with the System Keyboard for Users to Type in the Commands they want.

So what?
It's not like they are porting the same engine each time.
First it was ZDoom I believe, then PrBoom with RetroArch, and now this is GZDoom.
If you still don't know the differences between engines, you should do some research.
GZDoom on Switch basically opened up the gates for all of the most well known (and maybe even all) Doom mods to work on the Switch.
zandronum iwads like MM8BDM aren't supported by GZDoom, and vice versa (atleast with Adventures of Square).

Once GZDoom comes to switch, then I can eventually get Zandronum. Those are the only two Doom engines I want in my life tbh.

What Issues are you having? I am only having Text Issues for Brutal Doom. Otherwise, works great, but might need to access more Memory.

  • "Joystick axis settings might reset after restart."
This is a problem accompanied by the fact that the game takes quite a while to launch is a bit tedious. However from the sounds of it it may be fixed as soon as GZDOOM itself updates which is great to hear.

Would it be possible to add support for WADS named using file aliases (e.g. doom2bfg.wad in addition to the regular doom2.wad)? I want to have both the regular and BFG versions of Doom 1 and 2. This is because some pwads only support one or the other. For example, Sigil requires the original non-BFG Ultimate Doom WAD, whereas the No Rest for the Living WAD requires the BFG version of Doom 2 specifically, and Master Levels requires the original Doom 2 WAD.

Aliases can be found here https://zdoom.org/wiki/IWAD

Yes, that is possible. Though I'm pretty sure you can do that by creating custom profiles right now.

I can't seem to run iwads that I got from doom 3 BFG edition and I m wounder why? are the ones from BFG compatible?

I can't seem to get this working. Nothing I do in the launcher seems to do anything, as after trying to launch, it just goes back to the homebrew menu. Launching from the nro called simply "gzdoom" kind of works. It loads into freedom, however it always crashes not long after I start a new game. I'm also definitely launching from a title, and not the album like I'm supposed.I apologize if theres a solution to this already in the thread, but I didn't see it if there was.

Will this work on an 8.1.0 switch? I really want to play my childhood game Heretic on my switch please!

I still can't get this working in any way. Trying to any wad, including the default freedoom ones, will always crash. Usually within the first couple seconds of gameplay, but sometimes after only a frame or two of the splash screen. Usually it just crashes to hbmenu, but it also crashes the console sometimes too.

That sounds very much like you're running with insufficient memory, which is likely to happen if you run in applet (album) mode. If you are 100% sure that you're running in regular app mode or from NSP hbmenu, post logs from the /switch/gzdoom folder.
