Hi,

Thanks for the great guide but i'm having one problem...

I did everything listet and it seems the WADs installed fine. I have the channel with the corresponding graphics for the games in it.
E.g. F-Zero works, so als Ninja Turtles... both are SNES / NES Games. But i can't seem to get any N64 Games working...

Tried Crusin USA, 1080 Snowboarding, Yoshis Story, Kirby64 ... When i click on start, the screen goes black and i directly get the message
"Diesen Kanal kannst du nicht nutzen" (sry, for german, translates to "You cannot use this channel" and the wii hangs - have to power it off)

Am I doing something wrong or are N64 Games not supported yet?

I have one important thing to add:

some games are *WRONG* and use the same title id as other games or even system channels.
i have already seen several -iND releses with FABP as the title id(for donkey kong junior)

Installing more than one game of these can have unexpected consequences, and it will most likely become
harder to uninstall. (installing donkey kong junior + any of these would be the same)
so BE CAREFUL.

Anyone willing to check this
, just open up the .wad in an hex editor, and check offset 0xC20.
If you see FABP (and the wad is not for donkey kong junior) you have a BAD WAD, which could be dangerous.
If you see something else, it can still be wrong, but most wrong releases use FABP.

You should check whether the title id corresponds to the game you are using. one quick way is
encoding the titleid as hex: use
http://www.dolcevie.com/js/converter.html , input the title id you see for your wad (for example FABP) and press ASCII to HEX
copy the hexcode above without the ":"
insert it into the following URL:
http://ccs.cdn.shop.wii.com/ccs/download/0001000146414250/FFFD0000
the bold text is where you should place the hex code.
Download the file and rename to a .bmp file. That shows the image for the game of the title id of the wad you have.
If you have a zelda wad, and it shows an image of pokemon, dk, or something else.. then BE WARNED.

I hope this helps prevent some wii damage

i'm new to this twilight hack stuff (just got zelda yesterday) and i have problem.

i made everything as described in the guide but after the hack "starts" i get never to the point where it says i should reset the console.

the hacks starts, all the stuff about accessing the SD card appears on the screen, and it says that the boot.elf is found. but after that i get only this

maybe i just haven't waited long enough but it doesn't seem to do annything at that point...

Get rid of the extra crap on your card until you've installed your WADs, or better yet, get an SD card devoted just to WADs (though you can have stuff related to the Wii Homebrew Loader, which doesn't seem to hinder it).

excuse me i'll be out of the subject(i wasn't here from days
rolleyes.gif
), but with all development with vc hack last days ..can we play these games without risk of banning from online or bricking the wii

It's very easy to detect for Nintendo. Bricking is almost not posible.

To remove VC games from your Wii you must use the WAD Uninstaller program, its not
enough to simply remove them from the Wii via the Wii data management as removing
them this way leaves behind a ticket.

what is a ticket? a blank channel?

any idea why this happens and you cant remove the games the normal way?

well unfortunately i did delete them without the wad installer...r these tickets really that bad? what do they do?

PS. is there a way to get rid of only the tickets?

Very cool stuff great guide.
I might try it later but I want to be able to play Brawl and Mario Kart online.
I know it will most likely not prevent us from playing online but I want to know for sure.

Has anyone been banned or had problems connecting after installing these VC's?

To be hounest, I doubt Nintendo will start banning people. No one has ever been banned from Wi-Fi and I'm sure if they did start banning someone would find a way round it.

I'm having trouble getting the hack to show up on my sd card.

I'm on a PAL wii and I've put the rzdp0 file into my SD, renaming it as data.bin.

Have I done something wrong? It's in the folder private/wii/title/RZDP

just run the unistaller and put the wads of the games you deleted in the wad folder and the tickets will be removed

If I already have an injected rom installed(say smash bros through sin and punishment) will I still be able to install sin and punishment as well as this?

I might jump that shark, so I'm going to ask. (probably asked already) Can installed EU Virtual Console games work on a JP or NTSC console?
