I've gone through the whole thread but haven't seen a solid answer as to where I can get the cIOS 249 and junk. I've followed the whole tutorial on the first page, it's not too late to do it right? And could someone show me where to go and how I would go about doing it?

Much appreciated. :x

e/ this is because I'm also getting the 1101 error in NeoGamme R7, in R6 I'm getting 972. It may be my discs(using DVD+RW for now) but I just want to get the cIOS patched up and stuff for future use.

You need cIOS 38 Rev14. It installs itself to IOS 249 on your Wii. You have no reason to acquire IOS 249 as it isn't something you download.

There is a link to cIOS 38 Rev 14 in the guide.

Edit: DVD+RW? I'm not even sure rewritables work at all, but +R needs more work than just burning to the disk. Use a regular -R disk.

If you didn't do anything other than burn the ISO onto a DVD+RW.. there is no off chance. It's definitely the disk. Need to change booktype for a + disk to work.

i only get that error on the dual layer dvd one all the single layer games work fine i get unreadable disk with csios in the disk channel and error 1101 with neogamma

Alright awesome, if I wasn't dirt poor for just buying my Wii I'd have legitimate discs to use. I'll just rob my sister of a USB drive. lol

Can u tell me why do u install the cIOS using ios36 and not the ios249 ?? whats the difference between using the ios249 and ios36 ?? i'm kind of noob in this...

PD: instead of using neogamma as a channel i rather using it with a forwarder (puting the .dol file in the app folder). if there is an update u just need to change the .dol file and not unistall the channel to install another one. u should add it in the guide ^^

IOS 249 is where the custom IOS is being installed.
So unless you have previous custom IOS installed, you need to use the trucha enabled IOS 36 to install CIOS

If the games load up, then it must be the controllers. Have you used other controllers to single out yours?

if i load the same game with neogamma 7 same controller it works fine if i use cios mario keeps jumping over and over game isnt frooze its like we are hitting the jump button over and over

hey guys fixin to mod my sisters wii and her friends one is at firmware 3.1u not sure on the other yet neither has seen online before is there a way to update to 4.0u thats what mine is at before i modded it and kinda wanted everything to be the same since ill be there tech support

will there be anything in this guide that wont work or any games that will not play if i leave the system firmware below 4.0 like for example on the 3.1u unit ?

Whoa 3 posts in a row.

No. Update to 4.1. Staying below is useless. Connect it to the internet and upgrade to 4.1 then follow the guide.

Don't really see much need to answer this... why would you ask such a question..?

Does your Wii fall into some separate category apart from the rest of them to give you reason to believe your Wii would be anything other than the group of ALL Wiis mentioned?

Of course. Just make sure not to backup anyone elses NAND if yours is saved on there because it will overwrite it.

Hi all. I followed this guide fully except that I didn't update the FW to 4.1U before soft modding. I'm currently on 3.2U. I've installed Neogamme, USB Loader, Preloader and bootmii and all are running fine. However, when I actually run my original games from the Disc channel, I can't get them to work. The wiimote simply turns itself off and the screen goes blank or blue (ie. no signal) I realized by unplugging my external USB h/d some games work. However, games like Zelda and Smash Bros are still not working. Would like to ask for help!

Also, will updating to 4.1U solve my problem? If it does, I'm wondering which guide should I follow (as there're numerous guides on the forum) if I've softmod my wii using this guide. Thank you!!!
