How to ARM9 patching so it works on EDGE/CycloDS Evolution (and some other)

- Download patch Grand_Theft_Auto_Chinatown_Wars_USA_SAVEFIX_V2_NDS-iND.zip (Sendspace link)
- Place in a directory (lets call it "c:\gtactw")
- Copy your original scene release file in "c:\gtactw"
- Unpack "Grand_Theft_Auto_Chinatown_Wars_USA_SAVEFIX_V2_NDS-iND.zip" in "c:\gtactw"
- Start "xpa-gtac.bat"
- A new file will be generated, called "xpa-gtac-patched.nds"
- Get DSLazy (Download here)
- Unpack in "c:\gtactw"
- Start DSLazy
- Load your patched rom (xpa-gtac-patched.nds) in DSLazy
- Click NDS Unpack icon
- Copy the ARM9.bin file from the NDS_UNPACK directory to a seperate directory (lets call it c:\arm9_backup)
- Delete your NDS_UNPACK directory and current.nds
- Load original non patched GTA rom in DSLazy
- Click NDS Unpack icon
- replace your ARM9.bin from the NDS_UNPACK directory with the ARM9 from c:\arm9_backup (Overwrite original arm9.bin)
- Click on the NDS Packer icon in DSLazy
- Give a good name to it
- Copy this patched rom to your EDGE / CycloDs Evolution or R6 Xtreme, or any other card not working with Grand_Theft_Auto_Chinatown_Wars_USA_SAVEFIX_V2_NDS-iND.zip
- Done

- (Tested myself on EDGE / CycloDs Evolution and the R6 Xtreme 64G)

Help! when I try to open dslazy it says : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) Click on OK to terminate application.

I'm not a hex guy, don't understand anything of it (sure i can do it if told how and what to swap, but figuring out myself what to change, not my thing

But, yes this is an easier way, getting a hex editor and change the values given /

Its not really easier than using .bat cause you have to unpack, hex edit and repack. I dont think thats easier than running a single .bat file

Readme:
Put your rom into dir, named as xpa-gtac.nds.

Run xpa-gtac.bat, it will generate a savefixed rom.

It still doesn't work on all carts! But it works on some such as R4, M3 real etc.

do not name your rom file to "xpa-gtac.nds", you get a file with 0 size
name it to "xpa-gtac"

PS: this is for the nabs like me trying to name the file as "xpa-gtac.nds"

There Is Multiplayer Games!

Well when I look in the friend roster while I have someone selected. On the top it gives there mutliplayer stats and one of the stats says "Multiplayer games played 0 (0)"

There must be some type of game to play with one another! Otherwise why would there be a stat for it?

When I start the game its says "saving please don't turn off" then it goes black then nothing happens
