Hacking Question Got my SX PRO but can't get it to work

Hi,

Just got my sx pro but can't get it to work.
All i get on my screen is "Boot.dat ?"
Put the boot.dat on the root micro SD card but seems like it won't find it
Tried two different micro SD card, FAT32 or exfat and no success, still the same message.
Tried formatting card on PC and even on the switch itself but still same message

Can Anyone help ?

Try to redownload the boot.dat it may be corrupted.

Tried redownloading but still the same.
Bought it from infinitydream(official reseller)

could be a defective dongle unit...or maybe your sd card slot is damaged.

I had this issue when I first attempted to boot up my TX Pro, but that was because I didn't download/add the boot.dat file on my microsd card before booting it up. But your issue sounds like it could be a corrupted file or a bad micro sd card. Maybe re-formatting your micro sd card will help?

Edit #1 - Forgot to mention this, if you're using a brand new micro sd card, before you attempt to load your payload or add any files to it, insert it in your switch and then go to settings, find where your micro sd card is and select format, your switch may have to get an update in order to use/format that specific microsd card. Once your micro sd card has been formatted on your switch, then attempt to load the boot.dat file

To download the boot.dat file (or to see TX manuals) go here https://sx.xecuter.com/ ... once you've booted up your switch with the boot.dat file you'll be asked to validate your TX os, you can do that via the switch (going online) or using your pc/mac. If you don't want to validate your OS using your switch (to minimize the risk of nintendo seeing you online with TX software), remove your micro sd card from your switch, re-insert your mircro sd card in your pc/mac and go here to confirm your TX license https://sx.xecuter.com/sxos-license.html once thats done, re-insert your micro sd card in your switch and you should be ready to rock

if you get the boot.dat error, the payload can't find the boot.dat on the root of the SD. The payload gets launched on the switch so the dongle is not the issue.

Check your SD card, try a different one.

He gets the "boot.dat" screen, so the obvious answer here is "no".

I bought this microsd card last week - SanDisk Mobile Ultra 128GB microSDXC Class 10 UHS-I w/Adapter, Up to 100MB/s

Sounds like it's the card . Download free partition eraser and SD formatting tool, loads of free ones online . Wipe it and delete all partitions.

Verify that with the adaptor that you can In fact write some huge files to the card to full capacity from pc for sanity check on the sd card.

Check if you have antivirus or win defender grabbing the file or anything .

Some sd card adaptors are also very gay. Or the slot on pc is a homo.

Fake SD. I just returned a fake to Amazon. Had boot.dat issues, and corrupt data issues. It was a "SanDisk" I thought for sure it was legit. I reformatted for 3 days trying everything. It would work, than I would fill it with games and then shit hit the fan, corrupt data, boot.dat, errors downloading updates, missing games, etc. After I compared it to a real card I bought at Best Buy it was obvious it was fake, the print didn't even match. Most people having any issues with TX OS are SD related. Good luck

Try to load the payload from PC

Maybe it is not MBR ? Check if your card is maybe GPT formated... Good luck !

Another Tip ! If running a payload with win10

Right click on the payload file and check if you can give the permission to use it on your PC ! I saw on the downloaded payload that my PC has blocked it so i must check the allow on my pc, because it came from another pc checkbox
