Google to remove background images

I don't know about everyone else but personally I loved being able to have a custom image behind the Google logo and just today I received a notification on my homepage telling me they are removing this feature on November 16th. I've already seen a lot of people express their anger on the internet but not much action seems to have been taken.

However I did find a petition that has a few signatures so I thought the temp would be able to help boost that number!

I didn't notice when mine was removed. And when I did(I don't use google search page because of omnibox), there was no longer an option to add a background.

I loved the backgrounds! I don't think I know a single person who didn't love them!

I rarely use the google homepage tbh.
I got google search in Speeddial and in the top right corner of Opera.

The custom search page background images are being removed because Google is closing down the iGoogle service.
