No specifics yet for Austin, but cities that already have the service get a gigabit plan for $70 per month, or you can get regular broadband for seven years, for free, if you pay a $300 installation fee.
I would get regular internet for $300. It's more than good enough.

Well, seeing has it's been available for over roughly 4 or 5 years here, it makes me wonder why it's not more widespread over there.z.z
While I'm content with only having 100mbps atm, 1gbps for that price is quite good, I pay roughly 80€ for mine, but it includes tv box (those things that let you watch anything that gave on tv, no matter in what channel, since it records everything that airs for 7 days)
