Homebrew Good GBA Emu?

Just i remember that cause i bought one. I had hoped that somehow the GBA feature inside the 3DS could somehow just be used to play roms without needing injectiion, but guess is not possible yet.

You should read http://3ds.guide instead of an YouTube tutorial. The guide updates a lot but YouTube videos can't keep up. Yes I know it sucks how it's in text but if you come across any problems just ask here and we can solve it. Just follow 3ds.guide and be careful and you'll be fine.

First of all did you already install a9hl and Luma3ds on your 3ds, if so

- think of a CIA file as a compiled file to install on the device (like a EXE on a windows PC)
- VC = Virtual Console (meaning official retro games that nintendo made) and a Injection pretty much just replaces the ROM that nintendo placed into their official game.
- The injected game will be a CIA file and you can use a program called FBI to install it from your SD card, generally people place it in a folder called CIA for ease of access. once its installed you can delete the CIA file as it will show up as a game on the 3ds as if you bought it from teh eshop.

KEEP IN MIND you need to install luma3ds and mdo your 3ds. foolow http://3ds.guide/ to do so if you already did not. And FOLLOW EVERYTHING EXACTLY AS IT says or you might brick your 3ds if you skip a step./

any non legit CIA needs Arm9 access to install. even to execute. dont worry follow teh guide and you'll be fine, teh first part it makes you do is create a backup before the 2.1 CTRNAND transfeer, so even if you brick you can recover w/ an Hardmod

Well yeah, can't rely on GBA VC emulation forever, is not perfect. I actually run some problems using it. Playing super street fighter 2 turbo revival actually has some issues, as well as Donkey Kong Country 3.

Seem like any rom over 4MB has issues working, either that or the save patch required to make it save, causes the issues. Either way a proper homebrew emulator should be best developed. Wonder where VBA is anyway, is ported to like lots of systems.

Basically this means...

-If you brick your 3DS (this only qualifies only after you installed A9LH) you can boot into Decrypt9 to restore an previous backup. Basically it's 3DS's version of custom recovery on Android.

MCU (the #DS is a total doorstop not even a Hardmod can recover this!)
and FIRM0/1 Brick (this is Badly corrupted/broken then A9LH cant even launch at this point you'll likely see the blue BootROM Error screen)

I know that, it's just unless you were trying to hack your 3DS all the time and mess around I doubt he would brick in those situations.

DCIM and Nintendo 3DS are the files that contain Videos and Pictures (DCIM) and, I forgot what the Nintendo 3DS folder has but all I know is that it's important so keep that.

Also Decrypt9 is an Homebrew App that contains alot of useful features. But just follow what the guide says and you should be fine.

No Soundhax is a Userland Exploit, hoch gives rise to let us run Fasthax Fasthax is a Kernel Exploit this lets us do a FIRM_LAUNCH and run Decrypt9 to make the backup and start the CTRNAND transfeer. if yoru SD Card has had Issues before w/ Corruption or you even Suspect it could be bad stop right here and dont continue till you are certain it is good or you replace the card.

What are pre injected ROMs?

Basically, the GBA ambassadors games are not emulated (contrary to other Virtual Consoles systems on the 3DS). As the DS was backward compatible with the GBA, those games use the DS mode of the 3DS to run them.

Injected roms mean you replace the original game by another one but some sites share already modified pack so you don't have to do it yourself, you just need to find the .cia, install it and play.
