Tennis Ouji-sama 2005: Crystal Drive

Well, that was the only one I've ever played on the DS. It's Prince of Tennis, for the DS. And you don't need to know Japanese to play.

i think theres a sega tennis game coming out in the future that should be good. if you have something in the way of gba emulation, definately check out mario power tennis for the gba.

There were two Euro releases for the DS, but none in the US.

1. Rafa Nadel
2. Tennis Masters

I have played both and one was "OK." Check with IGN or gamespot and see which one was better if you have that much interest.

To be frank, there are pretty much NO good tennis games.
And to the one guy who posted about Mario and Sonic...did you know that there is a big difference between table tennis and tennis? (orly?)
Tennis No Ouja Sama 2005 or whatever the hell it is is the best, but it is weird because of the court layout and stuff. I mean its like they took a tennis court and stretched it all fat, and shoved it on one screen, with a direct overhead view, for a uber-demented court.
Rafa Nadal Tennis (which did come out in the US, to whoever said it didn't...) sucks. Its geared at playing with the stylus, which is impossible the way they did it. And i still got it cause i thought the non-stylus controls would be good. They aren't, and the game is terrible.
Tennis Masters....just no.
And Topspin 3 has framerate issues like mad. Opponent hits ball, but you can't see where it goes till its too late! Whoo!!!

So yea, sadly, tennis games, which are some of my favorite games, do not exist for the DS, yet. I hope they get a good ol Mario Tennis in there though.

On another note, i've been thinking how awesome a tennis game where you moved with the d-pad and used the stylus on the bottom screen to do the shots, with the action on the top screen. Granted, it would be hard as hell to do, as the stylus controls would be pretty hard to determine by the game, but imagine. Like upward diagonal swipe for topspin shot, downward diagonal for slice, sideways for sidespin, straight up for lob, etc. It'd be awesome.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
