the only game i know has co-op is lego star wars 2. there players actually can drop in or out anytime on any track!

I hope you are recommending the Complete Saga version. It's decent, and only has multicard play without wifi. The Lego Star Wars 2 Original Trilogy DS was terrible. The game is one of the buggiest and worst DS games ever made. Stay away from it. And in fact, don't bother with any of the Lego DS games if you have the console versions.

Lego Star Wars Complete Saga was a cut down version of the console game with 1 level from each episode cut and numerous level design changes. The previous Lego Star Wars 2 DS game was NOTHING like the console game, being an entirely different game with more bugs than an ant farm.

Both DS games of Lego Indy and Lego Batman share the same engine as LSW DS, but they don't bear any resemblance to the console games. The levels are completely different and I didn't really like either.

I found lego indiana jones enjoyable on the ds.
