i am going off to college in a little while and i need a good portable laptop
i am mainly looking for a notebook that i around 13.3 inches or lower for portability, at least a 100 gig hard drive, and a good processor(core 2 duo)
i am thinking about getting a white macbook because it seems l;like a great notebook and i want to try out the os
the budget for the notebook is 1500
also i am open to suggestions for some good accessories that i should get such as a mouse and case

thank you for any input

That is a really good budget, but the best laptops are 15.4" - the 13.3 are overpriced, and the keyboards I find are too small for extended typing.

Or for lower price and better performance

If you are going to college you will have to type some papers, thus you will have to do some extended typing like fischju said. And what makes 15.4" laptops not portable? I have a 17" and it is still pretty portable.

i am perfectly ok with typing on a small keyboard since my hands are used t typing on a smaller keyboard so thats ok and fischju i did click on teh links and think that the macbook is a good ideaa since i am looking for a laptop that has a clean look and is lightweight and the ones you linked are not ones that i would want and if i go with the macbook i get an ipod touch 16 gb for 100

I was gonna say portability should be the biggest factor and looks like he got it right already.

Some people even take out batteries because they're heavy. And if you have multiple classes in one day, you probably need chargers even if you have batteries on. Just make sure all your classrooms have power sockets before ditching the battery.

That's all I have to say, since it looks like you made up your mind already.
