So I've had Gateway on my 3DS since I bought it. Ever since it's been discontinued I've thought about installing Luma and retiring it forever. Thing is, I've put my 3DS on hiatus for some time, but now I really want to play some Story of Seasons, so I guess it's time to install Luma and make my life easier for the future.
Now, I've got a few questions:
1. Is the risk for soft bricking considerable? Back when I first wanted to do this installation, it was all pretty difficult and the chance of screwing it up was not small
2. Back when I was still using the 3DS frequently (2016), I used Gateway only as an Emunand for installing .cia games. I have some save games that I would really prefer not losing, how would I go about transfering those from the Gateway emunand to the new Luma? If it's possible, do I not format my SD card? Can Luma be installed on a card with pre-existing data?
3. I suppose there's no problem about playing legit purchased carts with a cfw?
Really, the most important question is whether I'd be able to keep my savegames, I have a lot of groomed Pokemon in ORAS and I'd really like to keep 'em.
Thanks!
