The main issue is the squishy flesh bags inside coming to an abrupt stop and hitting said black box plane at a few hundred miles per hour

Yes I had initially written a long winded reply about making a heavier plane, that it probably would need way more fuel etcServes them right for not bringing their seats to the upright position
And I don't think crumple zones make a difference at those speeds.
I think the main reason is that the plane would be several times heavier and couldn't get off the ground
Which would technically make it safer![]()
