Getting game saves off banned switch

Could someone help me with jksv I am doing it wrong or it can’t be done,

I have a banned switch with game saves and have used jksv and have a folder with all saves, I then remove sd and copy to new oled switch with mod chip into root folder, I then start the game then go to jksv and save shows there but it’s the new save file not the banned switch save file also both switches are linked with same Nintendo account.

Is all this correct or can it not be done cheers

It should work.
Why not use Checkpoint?
Personally I've never had any problems with Checkpoint.

Yeah I did try checkpoint but it won’t run opens/closes on both units thought maybe not working with current atmosphere
