Ok, this emulator rocks. But I have a question, how is it possible? Was there a version of the genesis that could play master system games as well? Was there maybe an adapter or something that allowed it to play master system games? Or is it simply a case of great programming? And if so, could the same be done for the Super NES emulator and regular NES games?

yes there was an official sega adapter called the power base hope that answer your question

Yeah, the Powerbase Convertor didn't really do much other than change the size of the cartridge port (so SMS games would fit, of course) and allow the use of the card slot and SMS peripherals (like the 3D glasses, etc.), but all the silicon needed to actually run the code was already in the Genesis (at least up until version 3 of the console, when they dropped the Z80 altogether).

When will it be released on Homebrew Browser?

I'm told, 1 to 2 days.

@Bladexdsl Yeah, people still use it. It's a nice and simple way of doing things, when your computer is on the other side of the house. Just because you don't use it, doesn't make it a rubbish app! I'd rather leave the card in and left it in. For stuff I can't get on HBB, I FTP over using FTPii!

True. And it creates all the directories and stuff (if it´s a first time installation), and easy updating if you don´t have a sd-card reader nearby.

Anyway.
Thanks to Eke-Eke for still updating and making the best of it.

Emulation is a big reason why I use the Wii. And it´s easy to bring on a simple memory stick and saves any rainy day.

One can dream of 32X and/or Mega-CD-emulation coming true one day. At least, the Wii seems to handle the hardware-criteria for it.

just noticed the save states don't work too well in this. you save a state than sometimes when (does it a lot) you go to load the state and instead it just loads the last thing you did not the actual place where you saved than it overwrites your save with that spot!

it seems there is a bug in the last version if the ROM you are using have .md extension (even inside a .zip file). See this issue on googlegode, it affects cheat files but also savestate and previous snapshot (I just tested). The reason is that th emulator is naming the associated file differently from the previous version. I bet that i f you look into the saves directory you will find 2 savestate files for your game with slightly different filenames.
So if you try to load a savestate you made with previous version, it won't load and if you save it, it will make a new one.

It seems to be fixed in curent SVN but current solution I found is to rename your .md ROMS into .bin

But maybe it's not your issue, your post is not very clear (are you drunk lol ?)

um they are .bin

how is it not clear it's overwriting my save states to the state i was at (usually dieing, or missed the jump etc) instead of loading the state i saved (before i died, missed jump etc) !

I think you just selected the wrong button (save instead load) because I never experimented that myself (I use that feature quite a lot too) and I really doubt there is random code that "sometime" makes the LOAD button save the state instead, at least it does not seems very logical...

nope i chose load TOP button it's done it to me twice now once on sms and once on genesis game. if i had accidentally chose the save button i would see the saving message but i don't see it.

You should put this as an issue on googlecode, this sure is a strange one (never occured to me, I used savestate a lot but only in the same game so far).
