Hacking Gecko OS/Gamme loader on 4.0

After updating to 4.0 with wanin's updater, I decided to try out Brawl +. To do so I tried using both Gecko OS and Gamma, but each time, I would see the Gecko OS logo and border, same for Gamma, but no text. Because of this, I tried ocarina, but the codes did nothing. So I was wondering if all three were designed to only work in 3.2, or if I was doing something wrong.
