GCN GCoS... What can i do with it?

Can i turn my console from NTSC to PAL? Yeah i'm quite desperate.

007 Agent Under Fire
Windwaker

If yes, then you'll need a softmodded Wii to inject a hacked save of those games onto a GCN memorycard and inject Swiss onto the memory card.
With that, you can load homebrew software (including GCOS) and backups from an SD card (in an SD gecko)

Yup. I even have a softmodded Wii!
But i have this issue... will GCoS (or any GC softmod) make me able to play my PAL games in their original language? (in my case italian? And no, the game i'm talking about won't let you choose the language ingame \

If the game doesn't have it as a selectable option, it's highly likely it doesn't have it on disc.
In other words, it's impossible to force a game into a language it doesn't have the files for.

No. I have Paper Mario TTYD, and it has every PAL language on it, and it works perfectly on my PAL Wii. My Wii is set in Italian, then Paper Mario is in italian too. But yeah, PM TTYD doesn't have a language selection ingame.

Loading the out of region game is easy enough with softmods but if the you want to make it run in a language that it normally doesn't you'd most likely need a patch to the game it's self. This patch may or may not exists.

My PM TTYD is in ITALIAN (PAL), in fact it works perfectly in italian on my (PAL) Wii! The problem is my NTSC-US gamecube, i don' know if it will work in Italian with any softmod.

It should be possible.
Likely possible by loading an alternative DOL file first (which would boot the game in Italian then)

I wouldn't know how to do it as I'm not a scrub that plays games in any other language then English.

Wait. One thing, do i need those games to use them in my Wii or in my Gamecube?

If you want to boot homebrew on a GCN and you don't have a modchip installed then yes.
It's the only software based exploit for the GCN (apart from the action replay one)

You'll need GCMM to inject the hacked save (of the NTSC version) into the Memorycard and then convert Swiss to GCI format (I think I still have an old version of Swiss as GCI if you need it) and inject that as well.

Stick the memorycard in slot A and boot the game.
Load the hacked save or let the game load and wait for Swiss to boot.

can't wait to arrive! Though I did order it through normal shipping so it will take 5 days for the gc and 2 for the game... hopefully my grandma won't think that the game is a bomb cuz I'm on vacation and she is the only one home(she is pretty paranoid)
