Hacking [Gateway3DS] Black Card -> Black Screen

Hi GBATemp !

Since my r4i was a shitty one, i bought a GW.
I just received it, and I would liketo share my problem ...

When i put the black card with the micro-sd card with the files in it in the 3DS, the icon is appearing
No problem here

But when I launch it, i just got an error screen made by nintendo

It's not really a problem because I can launch the .nds with my dstwo, but I would like to fix this problem anyway

Any idea ?

Do you have a DSi/ DS Lite to test? It appears that your "blue card" doesn't work with your 3DS' fírmware. Which firmware do you have at your 3DS?

Yeah it seems the same diagnostic for me
Does any patch exist or fix it ?

Sorry, there is no patch for the GW3DS cards.
But which revision do you have?

1. Doesn't make sense. The card wouldn't show in the menu if the SD wasn't detected and it would show an error message if it couldn't read the SD (i.e. SD/TF card error).

I have try to use an other micro sd, and I used a 2Go and still the same error
Formatting, i don't want to try this since I am not sure it will fix it

I'm using the latest beta from the GW website

Which revision do you have? This picture is from a R4i Gold 3DS but yours should look basically the same:

Only the "L-C" inscription

Sorry, but I don't know anything about your revision. But it really appears that it's not compatible with 4.5.X. I already heared from other sources that this problem exists.

I've had similar problems with a bad micro sd card. I really think you should test a new micro sd or at the very least do a full format on it.

Ive have had same issue but with red cart, it was the microsd, games would show but got message on load after 3ds screen, what game shows up in menu for your black cart ?

If it's the same DS flashcard of Gateway, it must be the same Labyrinth game since there are no more firmwares for this card and also they don't come preloaded with the firmware.

I took the advice, I flash another micro sd card and put in it...
Still no Luck, my micro(sd's are great

Judging by appearances, I think I have found the problem.
It seems that the microsd slot hasn't been made with precision.
I think the contactors on the right isn't touching enough so the card can't read it correctly and then --> error

BTW, you can see that the whole microsd slot isn't right place, it's a little crooked

What do you think ?
