Sky3DS isn't in the same league as Gateway, it's not even close, actually.

4.X 3DS's aren't as rare as the "fully updated crew" regularly claim on this forum. And besides, who wants 10 games permanently engraved into the card? Honestly.

No way, you can do so much more with Gateway (unless I'm behind on the announcements, which I doubt) such as homebrew and more than 10 games. Although Gateway may take a hit if they don't have a solution to counter the 9.x support.

Everyone has to admit that gateway is good. However, it needs a 3ds console whose version is 4.x.
The new 3ds flashcard can support 3DS 9.x directly.
First of all, as most users have updated 3ds to 9.x, gateway+4.x consle is much more expensive than the new 3ds flashcard.
Besides, it's very easy for users to make use of the new 3ds flashcard.
You just need to insert it into the console.
That's all.
It's only a bit that the new 3ds flashcard can only support 10 games.
However, it's only a way for the manufacture to earn more money.
As you know, the samples released to the distributor can support more than 10 games.
There is no limit at all.

Remember how the FGPA of GW was writable via 3DS? I could totally see GW implementing something to flash the FGPA to do something like sky3ds and then if you want you can revert back to normal GW mode. Though this of course would still require a 4.5 3ds

I was actually talking about if Gateway released a new flashcart similar to the Sky3DS, that works on the newer consoles. I wasn't talking about EmuNAND.

Wait. I'm so dumb, so let me get this straight. If my 3DS has the version of 9.0.0-20 US will Sky3DS work on it? I just need free 3DS games, so I ain't reading too much.
