Hacking Gateway vs sky3ds

Since the announcement of sky3ds gateway have been very quick with new releases.
I doubt gateway would have been so generous without the new competition?
Game over for gateway?

No way, you can do so much more with Gateway (unless I'm behind on the announcements, which I doubt) such as homebrew and more than 10 games. Although Gateway may take a hit if they don't have a solution to counter the 9.x support.

If GW truly had actual 9.x support....that would mean......but I don't see it happening for some time, unless they found another exploit.

You might want to research more about Sky3DS before you say those things, you know.

Unless a clone comes out and removes the famous restriction that Sky3DS has, I don't see Sky3DS skyrocketing in sales. Heh.

Well I was thinking along the lines of a 1:1 clone of a 3DS game like the Sky3DS is supposed to be. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I think not. Gateway is unlimited games, sky is only 10 and can't change them. Gateway have homebrew, emunand and it's exploit based so they can basicaly add any feature they want. The only drawback is 4.5 sysnand firmware maximum.
Sky may be compatible with 9.2 sysnand, but who know what will happen when 9.3 come ? Maybe it won't work anymore and guys will be stuck with 9.2 sysnand without eshop, because unlike gateway, sky3ds dosn't have an emunand you can update to latest firmware version.

I don't know about that. There are many more people with a 3DS with a firmware above 4.5 than there are below that. Still, even if I had a 3DS with a higher firmware, I wouldn't get the Sky3DS. I would wait until someone hacks the 10 game limit, or someone copies the card and brings it out without that limit.

While you didn't outright state it, but implying it's Game Over for Gateway in a thread titled "Gateway vs sky3ds" means you're saying that Sky3DS is the victor over Gateway. This is not at all the case; so, yes, you did say something untrue.
I never said new members are not allowed to post messages. That's just downright silly. I am saying that your whole account is a red flag. That means that it's suspicious and hints towards what I previously mentioned. Most first posts are very different from yours.
I also find it interesting you have to ask (and thus implicitly accuse) me if I am a fanboy. But to answer said question, no, I am not. But I am a normal fan of Gateway because I think they are doing good work and have an excellent product.

I don't see how sky3ds is competetion for Gateway. They are for completely different markets. No one on lower than 4.5 is going to buy a sky3ds and Gateway won't work on higher anyway.

Sky3ds really is rubbish compared to Gateway, but I do hope it compels Gateway to support later firmwares.
But Sky3ds truly is a noteworthy addition to the community, and it will be interesting when we have our hands on it.
