Hacking Gateway site update

I was seriously looking everywhere. I think the person may have had something patched that they removed through an "update." Or their firmware was still out of date.

The new 3ds update is out so maybe they were waiting for it to make sure their new features work in the new update.

Brah, don't update scare like that. The community is salty enough.

I got one before anything resembling homebrew was even a thing beyond something the likes of smea would tease and refuse to show. Run the sploit, go into DS Profile, launch and enjoy. It lets me keep games on its microSD that I don't necessarily want installed in .cia form. And while not as refined like the dedicated action replays and gamesharks, its cheat function actually works.

Which is currently better than I can say for CFW.

All I wanted from the CFW was a way to have it use my emunand and load my GBA and DSiWare. And the last attempts at it had where I spent the first hours with rxtools refusing to even load emunand, then refusing to do anything but black screen, and then crashing as soon as I tried loading the intended games I wanted it to do. And to date, nobody has been able to show me how the ass to get it to work.

I mean sure it's more than RXTools has shown in life, but it just don't seem fair to people who actually paid for this cart to still have to use older tech like Menuhex to auto-boot their cart.

Considering the only times i really power cycle the 3DS is to take the SD cart out either to do things like backing up the emunand or using save editor programs, and that the o3DS I use the Gateway in question boots up in 4.4, I guess nobody wants to make an auto-boot that works in 4.* sysNAND. Or it could just be that because "it just works", I never bothered to look.

1 month? This is nothing. GW needed almost a half year AFTER their 'soon' announcement to get new3ds support running. It was a very fun time on gbatemp.
Everyone blamed them and thought they were dead. Relax they will release it 'soon' or 'around the corner'.

Seriously, you should try A9LH. It's like running an virgin 3DS, well still having your CFW.

All my stuff is update and is asking me to update. i did the update to see if it takes me to ver. higher then Ver.10.7.0-32U but once the update was done it took me back to 10.7.0-32U so I don't know that the hell happen...

Starting to get pissed with Gateway and just wanted to ask if there's any new news?
I bought 2 gateways at the end of November as a present for my brother so we could both play Smash bros. Pokemon etc...
Both 3ds were on 6.3 so I was good to go.
But me being me, I messed up emunand and ended up on 10.3. Shit.
Luckily on 29/12 the Gateway team said support was coming "soon". But as I said I'm new and wasnt aware what soon means to them. I originally thought a few weeks Feb at the latest. I emailed them on Jan 24 to ask for an update. They said and I quote "we are working on having it out be the end of the month". Of course that time came and went with no news...27 Feb I asked again and was again told it would be out by the end of the month. Now theyve said "in the coming days" and it has been almost a month since then
I know there are downgrade methods but Ive always thought "gateway will be out in a week or so, no point of taking a risk" and I am lvl 0 with technology so all these complicated guides do not help. I still wanna hold on for Gateway but I have been waiting 5 months and am starting to wonder if it will be out this year.
Just looking for an update or a rock bottom simple tutorial for downgrading. And also wanted to point out my 5 months of waiting, as I saw someone say "Its only been a month, for N3ds support we waited 6 months."
Well as I said Ive almost waited 6...

Lol, we can tell you're new to Gateway if you expected things to happen in a few weeks

You can follow only parts of it if you want (for example, only downgrade then come back to your Gateway, or downgrade then setup a free CFW that doesn't need a cartridge (but doesn't work with one and doesn't support cheats, your call) then stop, or go the full way to arm9loaderhax, do as you wish).

^That's the best guide I've found on downgrading and installing CFW.

Don't count on Gateway updating anytime soon and get yourself running A9LH.

If you don't feel confident enough to hack the 3DSes yourself, you might be able to find someone here who can do it for you.

If you're looking for someone in Ireland to do the downgrade for you via software I can do that no bother. I've up and downgraded personal and family members 3ds to exploitable firmwares so i've experience doing it. I'm away in England the next week or so but otherwise we can arrange something if you want

if you want to do it yourself however, the guide the two posts above me have linked is what I follow anyways honestly its really easy to do and relatively safe
